People often ask which Bible this series quotes. Here is our approach, plainly, so you can read with confidence.
For memorizing: the King James Version
The 60 memory verses are memorized word for word, with their references, in the King James Version. Tagalog speakers may memorize them in Ang Dating Biblia (1905), the Tagalog Bible closest to the King James. Anyone who finishes all sixty, boys and girls, men and women, is eligible to receive a Messenger 8 digital Bible. Both versions are in the public domain, free for anyone to print and share.
Throughout the series: the NET Bible
Wherever the series quotes Scripture in English, apart from the memory verses and Dad’s own words, it uses the NET Bible (New English Translation). It is accurate, easy to read, and free to quote and share in ministry, so we can put it on every page without charging anyone for it.
In Tagalog: Ang Dating Biblia (1905)
The Tagalog pages quote Ang Dating Biblia (1905). Its Tagalog is older and more formal than the everyday Tagalog of the stories, so a verse may sound a little “deeper” than the story around it. More about the kind of Tagalog we use.
In Dad’s programs and letters: all of them
Ken Engle used them all. On the radio, in his sermons and in his letters, Dad quoted whatever translation would help his listeners understand: the King James, the Living Bible, even the Catholic Knox translation, and many others. When we quote Dad, we keep his words, and the Bible version he chose, exactly as he gave them.
Different translations, one Word of God, and one Savior it points to.

Sa pagsasaulo: King James Version o Ang Dating Biblia
Ang 60 talatang isasaulo ay isinasaulo nang salita por salita, kasama ang mga reperensiya, sa King James Version (Ingles) o sa Ang Dating Biblia (1905), ang Tagalog na Biblia na pinakamalapit sa King James. Ang sinumang makatapos ng lahat ng animnapu, bata man o matanda, lalaki man o babae, ay puwedeng tumanggap ng Messenger 8 na digital na Biblia. Sa mga programa at sulat ni Ken: lahat
Ginamit ni Ken Engle ang lahat. Sa radyo, sa kaniyang mga sermon at sa kaniyang mga sulat, sinisipi niya ang kahit anong salin na makatutulong sa nakikinig: ang King James, ang Living Bible, pati ang Katolikong salin ni Knox, at marami pang iba. Kapag sinisipi namin si Ken, iniingatan namin ang kaniyang mga salita, at ang Bibliang pinili niya, nang eksakto.
Iba-iba ang salin, pero iisa ang Salita ng Dios, at iisa ang Tagapagligtas na itinuturo nito.
