Tommy Nelson has served as pastor of Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas, since 1977. He grew up in Waco, one of four boys, quarterbacked at the University of North Texas, and earned his master’s from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is widely known for his Song of Solomon conference teaching on marriage, and his preaching has reached many thousands more through Focus on the Family, FamilyLife Today and other national broadcasts. His books include The Book of Romance, A Life Well Lived, and Walking on Water When You Feel Like You’re Drowning. He and his wife, Teresa, married in 1972 and have two sons and six grandchildren. His teaching is part of the keepm.org radio lineup.
